What’s New for Uhaneknits

Working hard to bring new designs to Uhane knits for the summer. Im having a ball trying out new yarns and patterns. My love for wool haven’t wavered but I absolutely have fell in love with 100%Bamboo yarn. It’s elegant sheen and beautiful texture has been a joy to work with. I’ve also been working with mercerized cotton and my old favorite nylon yarn (that I have faithfully used as an accent to my handbags or for my accessory belts).
I am stepping out of my box & I’m very excited to show a sneak peak very soon.
We will be listing he locations to our vending dates where you will be able to see Uhane knits up close and personal.
Until next time….

Saying Goodbye To Artfire

Well, I didn’t want to do it but I think it’s for the best. Like any breakup when you still like the person, its bittersweet. But you know in your heart it has to be done LOL.

I really liked artfire.com but It just not the right place for Uhane knits. Good luck and continued success to all my fellow handmade artisans on artfire.
My best wishes to you all.

Welcome To Artfire…My Review

I recently purchased some yarn from an online store on Artfire.com. It’s a marketplace for Handmade, Vintage, Supplies and more. Its similar to Etsy and I was surprised that I’ve never heard of it (especially since its ranked right behind Etsy at #2).

I looked into the company and was very impressed. Even though I have an Etsy storefront, I decided to try their 30 day trail period. So far I’m glad I did.
The studios are easy to work with and I love that they don’t charge for listing or commission fees. This works out great for those with a lot of items. There is a monthly flat fee after your trial of $12.95 (that’s it). They have a wonderful support system & guide to help you every step of the way.

After setting up my Artfire shop I decided to checkout their Forum and I wrote an “Introduce yourself” post. I didn’t think anyone would read it, so you can imagine my surprise when other shop owners immediately welcomed me and by the second day there was over 200 views. They also also gave me wonderful advise and many kind words. They actual went to my shop and looked.

I made the inital mistake of thinking “oh this is just another Etsy.” But its not. The vibe at Artfire was surprising different, I didn’t feel like I was in a sea of many (even though it’s a huge marketplace). They really treat you and your shop like an “Online Business”. I like this place.

I am really happy I joined and if you have or are thinking about selling online, Check out Artfire.com and then come by and visit me at Uhaneknits
